Certain Death: Trying To Please Everyone
11 08 2008In an online world where the competition for attention is so high, trying to be everything to everyone is plain insanity. If Bill Cosby knew that back in the day when the internet didn’t even exist, how much more truer is it today?
I want to keep this short, so you can dwell upon two things:
1. What makes your music unique and what type of people are going to best respond to it?
2. Even though bigger commercial bands have millions of fans, there are probably just as many people who can’t stand them. Trying to impress those other people will probably only alienate their current fans.
Make Great Music,
